Project: Ground stabilisation and construction of a new industrial unitDeveloping this brownfield site meant that due to ground contaminates, a standard topsoil strip could not be undertaken. Instead Transcore carried out soil stabilisation with the use of lime and tar. The stabilised ground achieved CBR ratings of over 35.
Once the enabling works were complete, the construction of the 36m wide single portal frame could begin. The factory floor was laid in just 2 pours, using the latest techniques and equipment to create a seamless floor. |
