Lendal Slipway, York
Project: Reconstruction of structural concrete slipwayCompleted over a twelve week period, the Lendal Slipway project involved working from a riverside location in York City Centre with limited access. The work comprised the re-construction of a 25 metre long structural concrete slipway, used by Yorkboat Cruises, together with a temporary cofferdam whilst working 25 metres out into the River Ouse, several metres below summer water level.
Materials were transported to site using barges, with special attention paid to health, safety and environmental criteria given the challenging location. |
